Are there any global benchmarks for your solution?
At present, there is no universally recognized standard or guidance document that offers a definitive perspective on the current medical state of the art regarding digital symptom assessment tools. XUND actively participates in the Focus Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health, a global initiative jointly led by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Together with fellow startups in the industry, we are engaged in developing a standardized assessment framework for AI-driven health assistants.
Are there any legal aspects to consider when integrating your medical device?
As a medical device manufacturer, we follow strict rules to comply with regulations. When you integrate our Medical API into your ecosystem, you won't become a medical device manufacturer. You can leverage our Medical API certification to skip self-certification and audits. This distinction ensures legal compliance for your business while enjoying our technology's full potential.
Can I also send you an unsolicited application?
Even if there is no suitable role advertised for you at the moment, we are happy to receive your unsolicited application!
Can your product be customized?
Every use case is unique. That's why we developed our technology from scratch to best meet our partners’ individual needs. Whether you’re a blue-chip company, clinic, or start-up, our API-first approach is designed to be platform-agnostic, allowing seamless integration into any digital health platform.
For more insights into how we customize our solutions, please explore who we serve and our reference projects.
Do you allow home office?
We support the new working conditions that COVID-19, in particular, has brought us. That is why we also support the possibility of working from home.
Do you do clinical safety evaluations?
We continuously test our medical knowledge base and algorithms against cases reported in journals and training materials for doctors. We deem this the most reliable and scalable way to test the accuracy of the Medical API under verified, real-life circumstances. This is also the most commonly used approach to evaluate state-of-the-art devices by researchers and thus provides the best evidence base for a clinical evaluation of XUND with performance data.
Do you have a specific programme for start-ups?
Yes, we do! We believe in fostering growth for like-minded companies, so we provide a dedicated offering for start-ups and fast-growing small companies. Do you have access to user data?
We only collect general data such as age group, gender, symptoms, and risk factors entered by the user for the duration of the check. This enables us to gain insights into the age and gender demographics of users and the most frequently reported symptoms and concerns. All data is anonymized, and we take measures to ensure that the anonymous data cannot be linked in a way that could potentially identify you. To find out more about data privacy and data security at XUND, you can read our privacy policy, or reach out to us at privacy@xund.ai.
Do you have strategic partners?

Security and data protection are very important to us. First of all, all the data we are processing through the Medical API is anonymous by design. On top of that, we have also opted for local storage in Austria. This ensures that health data stored with us never leaves the European Union.
We are committed to achieving compliance with both GDPR and HIPAA regulations by controlling access to sensitive data and encrypting all personal information during storage and transmission. This way, we can guarantee the safe and secure usage of our technology.
How does your pricing model work?

What are the differences between ChatGPT and XUND’s Medical API?
There are significant differences between ChatGPT and a solution such as ours. XUND’s Medical API was created with the help of our proprietary NLP, which has been trained on a specific subset of medical literature and follows a set of traceable and understandable rules. Our in-house team of medical experts regularly conducts medical reviews and clinical trials to validate the data, ensuring the accuracy of the output. If you would like to know more about the differences between Generative Pre-trained Transformers and XUND’s technology, take a look at the comparison in our blog post about ChatGPT.

Patients can be further navigated in our partner's ecosystem depending on the result of the check and the recommended medical specialty. XUND offers a dedicated module, the ecosystem management module, to facilitate this process. Our infrastructure enables our partners to efficiently manage patient routing after the assessment. For instance, depending on the identified condition, the patient may be directed to a specific booking platform, a digital solution, an informational site, or a telemedicine provider.
What is the difference between an API and an SDK?
APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and SDKs (Software Development Kits) are two related but distinct concepts. An API is a set of rules and protocols that allows developers to access and integrate the functionality of other systems and services into their own applications, while SDKs provide the tools and libraries that make it easier for developers to build those applications. Check out our API documentation and SDKs to discover the optimal way to seamlessly integrate our technology into your ecosystem.
